Job Title Administrative Assistant
Laboratory / Department Molecular Immunology
We pursue a combination of biochemical, molecular and genetic approaches to define the checkpoints that regulate B cell development, antibody production and B cell tolerance. A second area of interest is in dendritic cells. Our interests range from the earliest phases of the B cell pathway, including the commitment to becoming a B cell through the completion of maturation. Our ongoing work includes a focus on mechanisms of V(D)J recombination, somatic mutation, isotype switching, allelic exclusion and tolerance.
Will join the Clinical Group within the Laboratory of Molecular Immunology who is working on organizing and performing clinical trials on new products to combat the HIV epidemic. Working as part of a three person administrative team, the Administrative Assistant will assist with ensuring the effective and efficient management of the office, create and maintain lists of deliverables and major deadlines for the entire team, and review technical documents for content and identify those that are needed for a particular task or deliverable.
High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have a minimum of 1 year of previous administrative experience, ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and sensitive nature, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow through skills as well as the ability to work independently. Must have intermediate working knowledge of Excel, Outlook calendar, file and database management. Interest or experience in public health and/or project management in a similar setting a plus.
