Rockefeller University Mailroom Clerk in New York, New York
The Rockefeller University Mail Room is responsible for the proper and expeditious handling of all incoming and outgoing mail correspondence. The Mail Room interacts with the US Postal Service and other courier-related institutions to ensure that the University is able to receive and send all University related correspondence in an efficient and expeditious manner.
The Mailroom Clerk will be responsible for receipt, sorting, and delivery of all University mail correspondence, as well as preparation of all outbound metered postage. Must deliver packages to and from the Purchasing Office to the Receiving Department.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Must have excellent customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good working knowledge of computers required, such as MS Office. This position requires working a Saturday shift (8:00am - 11:00am).
Must be able to lift, hold, or carry up to 40 pounds. Must be able to engage in a full range of motion, stand for extended periods, bend, push, pull, and reach above the shoulders.
